I was wondering, I have one of the older bagged Bissell Plus lift offs, the maroon one and I forget how many amps. But I was wondering what kind of motors they use? Mine looks like a canister style motor from what I can see in the suction unit, but it's really louder than I would have thought. I'm guessing the base has a typical power nozzle motor. Were the Bissells then usually noisy such as their other models? I imagine the carpet cleaners were really loud. Our Bissell Proheat carpet cleaner is not very loud at all.

honestly it should sound like a canister because that is a canister motor and the other a power nozzle motor. You might have some dirty or cracked clean air fans. That will make it louder.
