You’re making me a bit jealous! I’ve been after a Hoover Conquest for ages. The few I found were too beat and cost a fortune, a bad combination. Commercial vacuums in good shape tend to be hard to find. Not as many commercial machines as residential ones are sold. Those that do exist tend to get abused and discarded without a second chance at life.
The Conquest you have shared with us appears to be in good condition, which is remarkable. Since it has a cream colored hood, I can tell you it is one of the first ones. If you want to know the date of manufacture, the first four of the serial number is MMYY. |

broomvac If you dont live too far from Quebec, I could buy it for you and meet you close to the border !!! I didn't look carefully at it, nor did I plug it to check if it works, so I can't tell if it's good condition or not. Was it made in the 70s or 80s ? |

I have a newer one in great condition I am willing to part with if you are interested. It would involve shipping. Not sure if that is a deterrent? |

Is that possible to still find parts to fix this specific model ? Because it would be surprising everything is still fine in there. |

Assuming it is broken, I'd buy it whether or not you can get parts for it. Whose to say someone won't decide to clean up down there and throw that "old junk" in the tip? Then it can be safely in your care when you get the things you need.
I would imagine they use the vacuums to clean the business then shove them in the corner when something breaks. You can't always find 100% working machines every single time. Vacuum collecting can very much be similar to collecting real cars. Gotta fix some to enjoy them! |

That is pretty much what I thought, so if I ever buy it, it would be to clean it, fix it if needed and sell it to somebody who has lots of carpets. |
