Was at my local thrift shop the other day and saw this massive shop vac. Biggest one I ever seen probably about 30 gallons. Don't really know how many gallon it really is as no sticker on it but it seems like it. It does say craftsmen as it is in grave on the top. I would like to buy it but it's so big that i dont know where to put it and it $50 with no attachment or hose. Anyone know anything about theses as I always liked shop vac but don't know much about them.

Get it as cheap as you can, if it has no attachments see if they will come down in price. $50 is very steep considering you can buy them new in that size for $80+.
The main reason why people donate Shop Vacs is when the motors start going out and sounding weird. Every shop vac I've seen at Goodwill had a dry motor. The Sears/Craftsman hybrid logo was used sometime through the early to mid 80s I believe before they separated and just became Craftsman. |

See if you can run it before buying the vacuum. |

$35 is a bit more reasonable assuming you can get hose & attachments for cheap. But I don't blame you for leaving it. In all truth, it's just a motor attached to a bucket on wheels. Not much to write home about. Those new chrome Shop Vacs they have around today are really pretty though, I wouldn't mind having a small one of them.
