Hey
I was at local thrift store and I found a sanitaire. Its made it mexico and commercial edition. Its it excellent shape. It has a wider base than vacuums i have used. It runs great and works flawless.

Oooooo! They don’t make them with headlights anymore! Great find! Excellent deep carpet cleaner with Eureka’s Vibra-Groomer brush roll! Love the dark blue colour, too.....

Great vac BUT---

---as with many products they don't seem to care that some of us are left handed.

That's a great model due the uniqueness of the handle/switch. I had one at one time but in a weak moment flipped it. I put it on consignment and was gone in less than a week for a tidy sum.

I didn't know it was rare i know ones made in Mexico are good vacuums.
The bristle strips and belt need replaced but its in almost perfect condition.
It vacuums differently than riccar 8550 supralite 4 and my kirbys. It big base makes it very sturdy and even with worn bristles it attgitates carpet very well with excellent suction too.
Thanks for the info on the vacuum.
Les

The Mexican-made ones are the last good models, before they switched production to China. Those have a much better motor than the current ones.

That's a great machine it would have been top of the line at a vacuum shop .The "blue line" was almost exclusively sold at vacuum shops .

Excellent, excellent find! I have a similar unit (S661) without the handle switch or the removable fan chamber; your S677 might have been the model which replaced the S661, but I'm not entire sure.

These are incredible deep cleaners. Enjoy it!

Your Sanitaire looks amazing! I would love to find one soon. Yours was made in June 2004, the 26th week. Summer of ‘04 was a good time for me!
