Looks like Walmart will now be selling a version of the Ocean Blue machine.

Iím kind of impressed that it comes with the Prolux Storm shampoo attachment. Prolux retails that for $200.

Actually, Samuel, that would be a reason NOT to buy this Ocean Blue vacuum.

Prolux is one of the in-house brands of a online company called Great Vacs. They sell thru their website, Ebay, & certain online retailers like Walmart & Overstock. You can also tell they are responsible for it by how the tools are laid out, the Stair Pro mini powerhead & the Kirby-style shampoo sprayer that's included, those are typical attachments their vacuums come with in their listings.

One thing I noticed rather interesting about that shampooer, too, is when you look at the other images for it, they include a separate wand & hose handle with a switch. Yet there is no separate cord with it to supply power to the hose handle, & the second hose looks to be just a ordinary straight suction hose. And I am surprised they are able to make it without getting into legal trouble with Rexair, that Prolux carpet extractor attachment looks a LOT like the present Rainbow Aquamate carpet extractor, the one that came with the E2 Blue & still used wands with the cord on the outside.

Great Vacs is NOT a reputable company, & best avoided. Back in 2008, my ex had the misfortune of dealing with them & buying a refurbished Dyson DC07 that was pictured with it's original tools, but instead came with aftermarket tools, & also the cleaner head had a torn internal hose. So much for being "refurbished". Plus, this Ocean Blue vacuum looks pretty cheap & downright tacky compared to the Quantum, look at the quality of the hoses & the powerhead. I think there are better choices out there to say the least.

Really? Last year I got a ordered a fully loaded Kiby G4 and since they ran out they sent me a G7D.
There was some metal polish left on it and they sent two spot removers by mistake but they corrected it and sent me extra bags for the trouble.

They're bags filter really well but the cardboard adapter fits tight like most "universal" 3rd party Kirby bags and there's no print on them.

great vacs

I have had nothing but good luck with Great Vacs. I'm not saying Rob's situation didn't happen but my experience with them has been the opposite. I purchased several items from them including a kit to add an electric power nozzle to backpack vacuums, a Miracle Mate vacuum, and the Great Vacs metal backpack vacuum. When I bought the backpack, UPS lost the package and they were very quick to send out another one, so I would highly recommend buying from Great Vacs and think they are a good company.
I think all of Rexair's patents have expired so other companies are free to make similar products. I think the Ocean Blue uses the same motor as the Quantum, Sirena, Ritello, Vivenso and Roboclean. The power nozzle is the Dustcare PB11 which is a clone of the Beam Rug Master also known as the Eureka Express. It is also sold on the Great Vacs web site.
