Here's a couple vacuums I picked up at Goodwill On March 25, 2018. Yeah I know they're beat up, my Goodwill rarely has vacuums in good condition. People here abuse and thrash their vacuums so I get what I can, doesn't bother me. I'm handy with the tools so it shouldn't be a challenge!
I got the Eureka because I thought it was just too cute in how small it is, and I liked the colors. I got the Sanitaire because I remembered seeing they make a shoulder strap for it, and you can carry it like a backpack. I also liked that enormously long extension pole. I plan to use it in my garage for cleaning up dirt on the shelves and along the floor and debris and what have you. The Sanitaire is a little bit scuffed and missing one of the wheels but it should clean up nice, and a new wheel is only $5. The Eureka just has a lot of carpet strands wrapped around the roller. Other than that they seem to be in good shape! I haven't powered them on yet or tested them because I haven't had time to do so but I'm confident they will be OK. They will get a good cleanup and TLC this summer hopefully. The [2007] Eureka The Boss Superlite 402A cost $4.99 and the [2009] Sanitaire System_Pro S3681 cost $5.99. I do a good job? :-) Photos taken on: 3/25/2018 8:49 PM |

I have one of those little Boss Lites. Unfortunately after I got it I realized the filter is missing and it's been out in the garage so it needs a lot of cleaning. I took it apart when I got it to clean it, and didn't get it quite right on reassembly so I need to redo it.
Beware that thing is a screamer! But they are cute little vacuums. If I remember right when I took mine apart the brushroll motor was 5VDC or something. The Sanitaire can come in handy. I have a MM from like 1990 and it's really quiet. But mine isn't really powerful enough to clean the car as far as the carpet and mats. Yours is more powerful, but louder probably. I do keep it though because I use the attachments on my Shop Vac, plus I like that it has a blower feature. |

Yeah the images got compressed, but the Sanitaire is a 1400 watt model. People have complained that their breakers trip when using it. So I think it would be wise to use it in my garage anyway, because it's got 20-gauge wiring in it that will hold up better to heavy current, and if it is loud it won't be so bad outdoors.
The funny thing is that 4 days before I got this vacuum, I had bought a plasticrap Eureka from Walmart to use in my garage, it's still sealed in the box. lol |
