So I got a problem with my kirby the lock that holds down the brushroll head. If i tighten the screw it holds for a few minutes of use then the head falls off and the lock just spins around. Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Those are put on by Kirby, they do not screw on. It is just a stem and Kirby turned over the front plate with the

nozzle lock in at and smashes the back of the screw flat. You can buy one if you know how to do it,

I took mine in as it was brand new under warranty and Kirby ordered a new fan case with the screw

already on it and sealed it to my fan case.

I probably did more damage trying to get it to be tight... thanks for the info found a few fan cover assembly's with the lock already fixed as mentioned. Looks like that is my only option

Hey

You should buy a fan since you are taking front cover off and maybe change carbon brushes.
Here is a YouTube video the kid is maybe 10 but ive watched quite a few videos on how to change carbon brushes. The kid does it fastest and most efficient i have seen. So drop extra 20 bucks get fan and carbon brushes ic your machine ran good before it will run amazing after. Just saying might as well do now instead of later since your taking front assembly off.

I learned how from this video. It's for a Sebo, but the idea is the same. I love listening to her accent, lol
