Hi,

does anyone know what vacuum these bags are designed to fit?

Designated 20_5007.

Is this for an RCA Whirlpool Kenmore? Looks like some sort of off-set design.

NO

Whirlpool Imperial bags are the same as 5009 Kenmore bags, they are U shaped, 5008 bags are for the First Whispertone, 5010 for the second.

Perhaps the 5007 bags are actually meant for the Whispertone cleaner, shown in Reply #1? Somehow the bag that is fitted in that photo doesn't appear to sit properly.

I presume that the motor is offset to the side; therefore the 5007 bag would be offset to the opposite side, expanding to fill the available space.

It is also not unknown for a bag to be redesigned during the life of the machine. That happened to the Hoover Aquamaster/Aquaplus/Module900 machines. The original Hoover H16 bag was similar to the long Kenmore 5007 design. It was redesigned to the format shown in the pic, below.

Richard...

that is not a picture of my machine. But I agree, whoever that vacuum belongs to is very fortunate. I would love to have one.

Thanks so far.

Looks like this question has been posed before. A note on the package says, "Sears Also Has a Replacement Hose for Your Vacuum Cleaner". The image shows a lady using a hose and dusting attachment vacuuming some drapes. And it does say CANISTER VACUUM CLEANER.
Models: 0643, 0663, 0673, 1650, 1650-1, 1670, 1670-1, 1675-1, 1730-1, 1740. I do not recognize these model numbers.

Anyone?

Those bags are no mystery. They fit the 1960 - 1962 Kenmore canister with no attachment holder. It was turquoise in color.

Dysonman1,

Do you have that vacuum cleaner and/or can you attach a picture to this thread?

5008

Fits the 1961 Lady Kenmore Whispertone, 5010 fits the 1962 Whispertone 90, I have a bunch of genuine Sears 5007 bags and somewhere a few 5008 that I promised to Tyler but haven't found them yet, 5009 fit many of the 50s and early 60s Kenmores and RCA Whirlpools, the Horizon, Vanguard, Aurora and the 58-60 Lady Kenmore on the cart
