Hi, I recently got a Hoover Convertible 33 on eBay, and something isn’t right with the height adjustment, when I move the lever, it does absolutely nothing. There is nothing connecting the lever, to the axle. If anybody has a Hoover 31-34 could you please post some close up photos of the height adjustment on the bottom.
Thanks!
Walker

early Convertibles

These are one of the great MCM vacs. They started with just a 2 position adjuster. To set for high--leave handle standing up,push rear of vac down, move lever to have 'hook'under the axle raising front nozzle, lower handle, turn on and Beat,Sweep & Clean. As new types of carpet became popular in 60s the easier to use 4 position adjuster was added.
Happy Hoovering!

Thanks!

Thank you, I have a 1070 with the newer 4 position height adjuster, and was thinking with the 33 that I should just move the lever... but clearly not.
