Hello everybody,

With all the talk about the Dyson V10 I found a new Samsung Cordless Vacuum that is said to be the new competition for the V10. BUT.. I cannot see where it is released for the USA yet, and it’s Not even clear if it is for sale and available for the UK market, as indicated on some articles I read online. Do any of you Own one yet?? Have you seen it in stores or online for the UK???

The Newest Samsung POWERstick Pro (Samsung spells it that way) is a cordless with two motorized powerheads, the main bare floor brushroll is two brushrolls that rotatate in opposite directions (2,500 RPM) toward the center of the brushroll head. The second looks a lot like the Dyson Fluffy, it is for the deep cleaning (5,000 RPM) of carpeting, per Samsung. Both Brushrolls have combined multiple type Bristles for stiff cleaning and fine dust pickup. It comes with very nice attachment tools, including a totally new designed upholster mini motorized (Self Cleaning) brushroll and a flex pivot attachment also similar to the Dyson. The attachment tools are geared toward the High End market, made with the best quality materials, including the retractable Dusting Brush with Natural Bristles. The attachments in online reviews are all said to be of the Miele, Sebo and Riccar Quality and materials.

The main differences in this new Samsung, and the reason they say it will out perform the Dyson V10... The Samsung Battery is Removable and they supply you with Two, for a total of 80 (yes Eighty) minutes of use on Normal Setting, but no information how long on Max. The battery is said to last and maintain it’s full capacity for a minimum of Five years (Not as long as Dyson claim) but since it’s easily detachable, like modern cordless drills, you can always buy a new one for the future. Also, they claim 150 watts of power, not sure if that is “air watts” but they claim this on the video. Second, the entire motor body of this Samsung Pivots up to 50° to allow you to easily reach under low profile furniture. It still looks like you have to still kneel on the floor to get under the bed, but I get what they were attempting to do.

It also interestingly enough has a very similar dirt cup emptying system where you pull a lever and it cleans the cyclone shroud.. AND their brushrolls slide out the end, through a cleaning system that is shown to remove any hair and threads from the brushroll bristles totally hands free. Looks very easy to empty, maybe a touch easier than the Dyson? The reviews also make sure people know the Samsung has a Trigger for power that LOCKS so you don’t have to keep holding your finger on the Triger (they were poking fun at Dyson)

Ok, Just wanted to share this and see if any other members here own this or if anybody in the UK has seen this particular vacuum? Thanks

It does look very good. It has 2 counter rotating brushes in the floorhead I believe. Interesting.

I hope they release soon. Was supposed to be released last October.
