Its sometimes very difficult being self employed but often the side benefits are very rewarding.....I have an estate sale/liquidation business and while starting to work on my most recent project this weekend Im uncovering some great finds..... A family memeber at some point was an Electrolux dealer, but there are also some other great vacuum finds in this house.........

Here is an "Electrolux" that was quite exciting to find:

While we are still unpacking and digging out in this house.......it appears the person might have worked for more than one vacuum company........

Glad you're keeping the Magnavox, and be warned-the Stromberg Carlson TV set is rare and desirable, sell accordingly or keep it. I could have had a beautiful Danish Modern Mag TV with legs, and sliding tambour doors, strangely enough, I think the neighbors behind me ended up with it. I could see it on the glassed in back porch. Again, neighbors or people who can't tell a TV from a motorcycle.

Jimmy...

You certainly do have a great job! I know that like any job it can be hectic especially when folks do not cooperate. However, you always find the BEST stuff around. Thanks for sharing these items.

Hi Tom,
Had hoped you could have stopped by while I was working in this house.......I wanted to surprise you and Jeff with all the vacuum related items in this house..... and send some of them home with you! I got most of them here now, so they are still available......it would have been fun rooting thru the attic and basement of this old house.....

Tom, here are the Hoover attachements I was telling you about, that I found last week........no vacuum was in this house, but LOTS of Hoover attachements, owners manuals........I guess they must have thown the vacs away years ago..........I think this set is from about 1959 or 1960?

Post# 41188 , Reply# 24   5/22/2008 at 09:21 (5,789 days old) by vibrabeat ()

Must have been a set with the looooooong Hoover hose........

This was the vac that was currently being used in the house.....a Singer with the cord winder on it......I love these vacs as they (loudly) work very well, but I know some people cant stand them.......

Tom, I mentioned to you that I found a Concept One......at our favorite thrift store.........here it is, up and running. These are really great cleaners. Hoover scored a good design with these models........

Isn't that Hoover attachment set from the Citation? If so it's pretty rare.

Hoover attachments

I'd guess those are from a Convertible, going by the picture on the box anyway.
That tool carrier was used for the 6400 Citation tools, as well as the 6500 Convertible set.

Yeah....

And it says "Convertible cleaning tools" on the box...

What's sort of puzzling to me is the tint of color the tools have. Looks kinda like the color of a model 67...

I found items from at least 4 different models of Hoovers from this same house. But all the vacs had long since been thrown out, while keeping the attachments, boxes, owners manuals, etc. I believe that the attachments that belong in this box should have been white in color. They were definately for a Convertible. The ones shown here appear to be for the Dial A Matic that had once been present.
