Hi, I recently was given a Kirby G3, and unfortunately the bag clip was broken. Can I replace the clip? If so where can I buy one? I’d like to keep the original bag on it. Thanks |

Are you talking about the plastic piece that snaps into the arm that comes out from the handle? I think that's a commodity item you might be able to get at an outdoor supplier that sells parts to fix backpacks or a luggage repair place could maybe even do the repair for you. The trick to replacing it will likely be ripping out the stitching holding it in place and then sewing it back. With cost, keep in mind that a replacement bag can be had on eBay for around $40, give or take.

I put a wooden dowel on top of the bag attached a spring rubber band which ever you choose. When you put dowel on top of the bag use silicone or adhesive material to hold into place. On the dowel through top of the bag I used a paper clip attached to the dowel. It was siliconed in place. It worked and when siliconing make sure seal top hole in bag so no air gets inside fabric bag. I remember I could not find anything I made my own.
