I wanted to see what the strangest handle is in your opinion? Mine goes to the Bissell Momentum.

I always thought the Eureka Optima's handle was weird. I mean what are you going to do with it? Go zip-lining?

Hans,
Did you mean to say “gas pump” handle? Pistol grip to me describes the old sleek Electrolux hose handles we had here in Canada in the 1960’s. They were very compact and easy to use in tight spaces. Yet they carried the wires and contacts needed for the powered carpet nozzle. Gas pump hose handles describe what you got with the Hoover Dimension and Eureka Express power team canisters, though Eureka’s was much more compact and easier to use. They look similar to the handles you get when you go to the gas station to fill up the car. The worst gas pump handles ended up on some of the latest Kenmores and Aerus canisters...too bulky for cleaning car interiors and for dusting bookshelves and dresser drawers. |

That's what I mean, I LOVE the old style grips on the older Luxes, Compacts, Eurekas and others. |

All those above look very weird. I used a Bissell with that curved handle a few times. I forget what model it was but it was tan.
I always thought the Fantom handles that doubled as the end of the hose were interesting and unique. but I'd never seen a Dyson back then either, and that's apparently where the idea came from. |

Thats why i love my Compact and Electrolux simple sleek hose handle on those . I dont mind the gas pump i once had a Kenmore EVO canister bag less whit a gas pump handle, not bad design simple yet effective . But Dyson and the like what in the world ... Talk about a piece of garbage you need two hands to hold the darn thing ! No go back to hose like on vintage Elux Compact Eureka and be done whit it
