Picked this up as a reman unit from Bissell's outlet store on ebay with a 20% off coupon. Only has a 6month warranty but I do not anticipate having many issues with it. As shown in the pic it is a reman and only noticable dirt or evidence of prior use is on the base on the left, just a smudge. Other than that the brush roll is clean, the hepa filter appears new, and there is not a single scratch anywhere. I prompltly unpacked and used it, then took all the washable parts off and cleaned it when I was done with using it, not shown in the pic is the brush and nozzle top piece.

I had a hoover floor mate before which was ok, but this machine is far better. Works as a vacuum too. Pretty nice machine. Paid 100$ for it there about. Gotta say I love the green!

I should’ve ordered one!

Been looking at the crosswave. And saw that 20% off everything on eBay today, but didn’t even think about a crosswave. Was too busy ordering scents for my Rainmates lol.

@Hank

Congratulations!

I loved my Bissell Crosswave so much, when my Sister and Brother in Law just moved into their new home.. I bought them a Crosswave too! They have 85% hard floors and low nap carpeting in the bedrooms. Also, they are thinking about getting a dog.. I highly recommend a Crosswave for pet owners since those furry feet can track in dirt even when the humans remove their shoes at the door. Lol

I used to steam clean my floors as I have a Dog and don’t want bad chemical residue on the floors.. BUT I like how Cathy Bissell is a Dog person and the Crosswave solutions are non-toxic and Pet Safe! Anyhow, I was shocked the first time I used it on my kitchen floor.. the waste water container looked like murky coffee!

Great choice too as you saved $150 bucks and yours looks brand new! I added pics I took of what my Crosswave cleaned off of my (visually clean) floors! The dirty water pics are the first tank after cleaning my kitchen floor, the same floor I’d steam cleaned that same morning. I paid $200 on a special value on HSN or QVC and my Crosswave came with Three different style Brushrolls (two of the same Multifloor for Four Total), the self cleaning and storage tray, three full sized bottles of solution for Multipurpose, hard floors and carpet.. an extra solution tank, and an extra filter. I am continually surprised at how great it cleans and my favorite part is my hardfloors are dry within a few minutes.

Thanks for sharing and have fun cleaning!

I have a symphony. It's basically the same thing as you have just different mop head. The symphony is awesome. Hard wood floors tile vacuums and cleans. I liked bona for floors but symphony no chemicals and actually keeps wood floors bright and stain free with no chemicals. When symphony dies I'll buy crosswave or whatever name is when that happens.
I love my kirbys but this on hardwood and tile makes short work of job.

What is the white/blue brushroll material on the Bissell? The Hoover Spinscrubs have the 6 revolving brushes, but they are a nylon-like material and they do a pretty good job of scrubbing.

@Luxkid1980

Hi Jason,

The Bissell Crosswave has Three Brushroll Choices.

The first picture is the combination brushroll, good for all types of flooring. It is Blue and White Microfiber Strands that make a soft, fluffy, absorbent mop and it also has the red brushroll throughout it to do scrubbing, but soft enough to not scratch.

The second picture is the Hard Wood Floor Brushroll, it is made of just the soft microfiber material and without the carpet brushes, being softer it can buff the wood too.

The third picture is the Carpet and Area Rug Brushroll, it’s a nice brush like what’s found on most carpet shampoo machines to gently clean carpet.

All three are very useful and perform different jobs according to the material it’s made from. I guess you could just use the combination brushroll all the time, but I find using them as designed gives you the very best results and on thick carpeting, the third brushroll is easier to push.

I hope this helps. I highly recommend the Bissell Crosswave and if you want to check one out..most stores sell them like Walmart and Target.

I love this crosswave. It’s so much better than the floor mate it replaced.

I have not tried one, but from great depth of looking at it, seems better idea to me.

The design itself looks pretty similar to the Hoover, except for the brush roller thing. Has the upper solution reservoir and the lower catch tank with float. I do like the more convenient buttons on the Bissell. Maybe I'll consider one when the spinscrub gives up the ghost! It is nice that it does carpets, which the Hoover does not.
