My latest addition to my big Vacuum Cleaner Family!

I wasn’t planning on buying any Vacuums tonight but of course I have to check out every single stores Vacuum Cleaner section. Walmart tonight had some “Falling Prices” Lol that got me!

Basically I’ve wanted one of these three model Black & Decker PowerSeries since I first saw them introduced... $100 Off the price, well I jumped.

First thoughts, decent build and construction.. much quieter than most of the screaming loud B&D’s
I enjoy the “Floor Auto Sense” the Filter Sense will be a nice reminder and the dirt compacting handle feature (pic 3) intrigues me! I was thinking from other reviews I’d read... low suction but surprisingly it’s very good! I can put the hose on my hand and it stays put if I wave my hand. Obviously Not anywhere close to corded vacuums, but I’d rate its suction (Purely Personal Non-Scientific Opinion) in the Top 20% of my cordless collection (which ranges from Riccar to Dyson V8 to Hoover, about 25 - 30 cordless).

It’s lightweight, moves around easily, very easy to empty, practically designed and all together.. just FUN! It’s not a stellar performer, nor will it replace a full sized corded vacuum. My Riccar Cordless SupraLite Upright R10CV is the closest I’ve experienced as “almost” a corded full sized vacuum.

One Note.. just funny observation.. in my 4th pic, notice a hint of Electrolux 3 in one Tool? It’s a crevice tool, no it’s a dusting brush, no it’s an upholstery tool.. wait.. it’s ALL THREE! Lol

So, any questions please let me know.. thoughts and opinions are welcome.. be gentle though ;-)

Thanks everybody!

What's the build quality of the hose on the side? Also, not sure how I feel about those touch pad controls; seems like something that could potentially break overtime and render the vacuum useless.

Hi

The hose quality is very nice. It measures approximately 9 inches then expands to a little over three feet. So I’ve enjoyed using the attachments, both in its upright configuration and especially as a lightweight canister.

As for the touch controls, I’m of similar mind so even though B&D gives it a full Two year warranty, I added the 3 year extended warranty (starts after the manufacturer warranty) for $14 bucks, just in case. That and at $100 bucks off the original price, it’s not going to upset me if it fails after 5 years.

Thanks for the interest and questions. If you think of anything else, please let me know.

Hello,

The “Falling Prices” at Walmart! Lol

I actually carried three different vacuums, several aisles over to use the price check scanner and was shocked to find three different vacuums reduced by $100 dollars each! The lowest end Shark Ion Rocket, the Bissell Multi Reach Cordless and of course my B&D Cordless. But online at Walmart.com my Black & Decker was $50 higher priced.. so I’m not sure if all Walmart’s will offer it at $99 like I was fortunate enough to get it, but it’s still $148 online when it originally was $199.

I would definitely recommend buying it and worse case if you don’t like it as well as I do, keep your receipt as Walmart’ has a very easy return policy.

I used it last night and this morning through two charges. Lol. I was getting a solid 30 to 45 minutes on high, while the brushroll was running. I also got the listed 60 minutes run time using it on low which was still very effective. The canister only ran 45 minutes on high and the suction never decreased even when it started blinking “which means one minute left”. Very nice and it picked up a ton of dirt, dust and lots of hair off my Chihuahua Corgi mix dog, Kermit.

Hope this helps and thanks for the questions.

So Kermit let you vacuum him directly? :)

Thanks for the heads up! I'll make a trip there as soon as I can and see if there are any deals going on at my local walmart.

Lol.. Kermit only likes a few of my vacuum cleaners, but doesn’t get “vacuumed directly” more I brush him then vacuum the hair from his soft brush bristles and the surrounding floor after his grooming.

He will sleep right through my use of the Sebo Felix, any of my Riccar, Simplicity or Maytag vacuums.. BUT tries to attack the Sharks, doesn’t like the Dyson Vacuums and barks at most of my cheap bagless vacuums with a certain high pitch to their motors. Kermit understands good quality Lol that and his sensitive hearing Hates my louder (anything over 70 decibels) vacuums.

But I’ll add this, my carpets look clean, fresh, well groomed and dog hair Free when I use my best vacuums! If anyone ever wants a vacuum recommendation on Pet Hair alone.. I can help as I can direct you to (ibaisaic) Roger Lang’s videos which get his dogs stubborn pet hair up the best.

Thanks for the chuckle about Kermit.. I laughed but he’s not amused 😂. I’ve posted a few pics of my Kermit! He’s a rescue dog, approximately 6 years old and we’ve been told a Chihuahua and Corgi mix.
🐾🐾❤️

I must say I'm amazed at what you can afford! I consider any vacuum over $20 "expensive" lol

@huskyvacs

It’s not like I buy vacuums every week or even every month typically, I’ve just found bargains lately, all within a short time. I’m also almost 50 years old (April this year) and I don’t buy expensive clothes, shoes or stuff like that (Walmart & Goodwill Lol), no hobbies other than Vacuum Cleaners.. so it’s more about prioritizing where I spend vs. most other people. I own my car, we have a very modest mortgage (almost paid off.. yippee!)

So trust me, I plan more than I let on as well as I’ve saved a lot of my money since I started working at age 14. I definitely do NOT want to alienate or offend any of you great Vacuumland.org friends, nor do I want to appear stuck up or wealthy. (More like Frugal in all other ways but vacuums).

I think what’s helped me the most and I Highly Recommend everyone try to do this too.. I don’t have a balance on my credit card. I pay them off in full and typically use cash to pay for most things with my debit card. I also love taking any extra money from the change out of my pocket to $12 bucks extra from the months grocery budget.. goes into my “Vacuum fund”. Once it’s spent I make myself wait before buying another.

Thanks 🤗👍🏻

Went and checked my local walmart, sadly they didn't have anything discounted like yours did. I'd say you got a great deal, adn I'll keep my eyes out!

That thing looks like an atrocity! No for me! Glad you enjoy it though.

@luxkid1980

I apologize to everybody else for contacting Jason @luxkid1980 here on this thread but for some odd reason I couldn’t reach you by email, it came back undeliverable?

Anyhow, I’m trying to learn about my fellow Vacuumland.org collectors, saw this on eBay and thought of you Jason! It’s rather pricey but it’s what you listed on your profile as one of your “Dream Machine” vacuums yet to be found.. a brand new Oreck WD69!

Who knows.. maybe make an offer??

Thanks, hope this helps.

Thanks Joe! I appreciate you thinking of me! Not sure why my email wasn't deliverable. I have seen this model on ebay before but thought that it was always too expensive. But maybe I'll make an offer. I get a kick out of those "make offer" links. Sometimes I will make an offer that is $5 less than the asking price and it will say Offer Declined! Haha! This vacuum looks like it would be good for cleaning out my car and what not :)
