I have an Electrolux Genesis LXe upright that I picked up at a thrift store last fall and its brush roll's bristles are way different from those my PN5, which came with a Diamond Jubilee canister. The Genesis brush roll's bristles are indeed shorter and stiffer than those on the PN5, which are longer, softer and more splayed out. It does an okay job, but doesn't pick up cat hair off a Persian rug as well as I'd like. I ended up swapping the two brush rolls and now the Genesis does better on Persian rugs and the PN5 acts like it's self-propelled.

Yes....I just think this new brush roll in the pic looks like it is already worn. |

Yes, the bristles do look a little bit sparse. Do you think someone swapped in a used brushroll before selling it or does it actually appear to be new? |

I am just wondering if this is the new quality of brush rolls that you will be getting. |
