Aloha from Honolulu!-

Found this Westinghouse upright down the street from my dads today. I love the look and am thinking about refurbing it. I tried the search function here and nothing came up on the forum. Would appreciate any info you can share.

Thank you!

John

I wonder why the bag was lowered. Makes the whole thing look short. On the bright side you could just remove that little piece of wire.

Nice looking thing though.

Does it run? What all does it need? There's really nothing to do except go to town and start fixing bits.

All I can really say is that because it looks similar to a Kirby, you want to treat the refurb mostly like it is a Kirby. If you need a belt, try a belt meant for an older model Kirby (DS80 and earlier). You can pick some up at your local Kirby dealer or order them through Kirby. That's really the only advice I have to offer.

Thanks!

Appreciate the info. The AC cord is roached pretty bad to the point of crumbling when I uncoiled it. Want to replace that first and test the motor. We have ONE vacuum repair shop left in Honolulu so I'll probably take a run down there once I run
the motor.
