Jack,

Yes... "Dual Sanitronic 50," D50 and DS50 are all the same... D50 and DS50 are used as shorthand forms.

Thanks Ben ! I went into a vacuum store yesterday looking for a belt. Went home with another D50 for $10.00 . Upgraded bag that excepts a paper bag inside.

You lucky guy, you! :oP
I sure wish I can get a D50 locally for under 50 bucks! These models are just hard to find around my area.

BTW, what area in Oregon are you? I will retire there in 5 years...

Hopefully that paper bag is not an F&G bag. Those are horrible because they restrict the D50's airflow therefore reducing performance significantly.

Another Oregon collector! I think I got my D50 for $20-30. It has the original bag, but the light and handle spring are both broken. If you end up with any extra D50's, hit me up? I could use a spare in case my current one bites the dust.

Speaking of F & G bags, that is the style I use in my Classic 1. What is a better style to use?

Pam,

Here was my D50. It was a trash find given to me by my niece in 2016, but it was so skeletal and missing so many essential working parts (not to mention it wore the 1930s-style black wheels on all fours) that I decided to sell it.

Pam,

You would be much better off purchasing a Heritage II style outer bag and emptor which will attach directly to your D50, then you could use Kirby's newest HEPA bags inside it.

The Heritage II Bag & Mini emptor is available in the Kirby Needs store on ebay for around $60.00.

I have 2 d50s I don't use. Pretty much everything matches on them. I'd charge shipping costs for them is all. I have led bulbs for them too I'd charge for those $6. If don't want led I may have stock bulb laying around I wouldn't charge if have any. If interested email me.
