So I found a g4 for sale online it seems to be in great condition. It comes with some attachments, but not all. I found a full set of attachments on CL for free(including the sander.) the vacuum is listed for 80 but they can go down. Good deal?
Thanks |

The g4i is a great Machine. I would not get extra attachments. You have hose extensions and zip brush. I have a g4 g6 2 sentrias. I got attachments for sentria and I have never used them. There nice but don't help Resale I wouldn't waste money. I would buy shampoo kit. This helps add value to your vacuum and its practical and easy to use. Just my 2 cents.

Your welcome
I had issues with the tech drive slipping. I think k g3 and g4 have different tyranny gear ratios than newer models. I paid 60 to get serviced. They fixed tech drive and changed carbon brushes. Ever since getting it serviced it works just as good as sentria. So if any issues I'd get it serviced. If it's already been serviced or it works fine your set. The g4 is a beast. Your sentria accessories will work on it I believe. If not no big deal. Your welcome hope your g4 is a beast also. The pics look like they took care of it. |

I know not to pick up nuts and bolts. I picked mine up for 20 bucks and the people who owned it were idiots. Carbon brushes were bad sparking. It was missing a few screws. I took it apart put a new fan brush roll fill tube cord and took it in to get missing screws replaced carbon brushes changed. It was the first kirby I ever bought. It runs like a brand new vacuum floats across the floor tons of power. It's 3rd favorite kirby. My 505 is first d80 2nd g4 3rd and My favorite g series by far I love the color scheme alot better than white g3. I recently bought a 50 ft sentria cord and put it on my g4. It's great not having to unplug it. The Zipp brush I love too only thing cleans up our golden labs fur off stairs with almost no ply and our couch. It started my kirby obsession so be careful you may catch it too. Lol jk

Exactly. The OP stated the set of attachments on CL is FREE, so he's not spending more money to get them. If he were actually having to shell out cash for them, that would be a different story entirely. Besides, he can sell off what he doesn't need on eBay to offset the price of the G4. That's a win, win, win in my book.

Hey guys!
I finally got the g4 today! I love it so far. It’s a great vacuum in great shape. There is no clicking in the tech drive system, the aluminum isn’t even tarnished! It runs great, and the bag is in good condition. The only minor con is the headlamp it burned out. I ordered one on eBay and it should be here next week. I am so happy!😀 Here’s the g4!with my other Kirby’s. this is only the start of my collection The serial number is 897 so I am guessing it was made in August of 1997. Right before the g5!
