Hi everyone. I recently won an auction for a Riccar 1500P on Ebay. I am a real estate investor so I buy houses, fix them up, and sell them. I needed a vacuum for this purpose. I use a Miele Marin at home but obviously don't want to use it to vacuum the houses that I buy. I figured my options were to buy a new Kenmore as they are reasonably inexpensive or pick up a higher quality used machine. I've heard good things about Riccar and found one on ebay for a starting bid of $80. Fortunately for me I was the only bidder.

It seems to be in fairly good condition but it is missing the floor brush and I think the brush roller in the power nozzle may need to be replaced. Is it possible to order these parts online? And it obviously needs bags and a new HEPA filter. I'll include the photos from the auction and if anyone here notices anything that might be wrong, I would really appreciate the help.

You could get parts for this online. The brushroll however can be rebuilt at an authorized Riccar dealer for much cheaper than having to buy a whole new one.

I still have two of them, brand new, for sale for $199 at the outlet store.

The dusting brush on the wand should be turned the other way so the bristles don't smash.

The type H bags, and the Hepa filter can be ordered from the Factory Outlet Store.

The brush roller looks good. You can order the set of replacement bristles when those wear down.

The missing small tools under the lid are also available for order at the Factory Outlet Store.

The bare floor tool can be ordered as well.

Luckily, these things are fairly inexpensive.

I actually have a spare "WOW" tool bare floor brush for that machine I can give you at no cost with your order of bags and Hepa filter.

The 1500P is a Very Good canister vacuum that hold up very well.

Thanks for your help. If the vacuum is damaged I may send it back and purchase one of the new one's from you if you still have them in stock. That is a good price.

you might consider the Prima

I'm assuming the 1500 is comparable to the full size canisters but not sure. You might consider getting the Riccar Prima, it's a great machine and several power nozzles are available for it.

Look up the Tacony factory in St. James Missouri and look for the outlet store and speak with Tom.
