Isn't this the upright that Oreck used to sell before they came out with the Dualstack? (I think it was called the Bigfoot). Who makes/made this machine? Looks similar to a Clarke or Sebo. Although, the lettering is different than the Bigfoot and the seller claims it is brand new.

You're right, it looks very much like the machine Clarke and some of the other pro equipment companies sold some time back. If I recall correctly, they're Italian-made (early Lindhaus, maybe?)

It looks exactly like the Clarke Combi-Vac I used to have, except that mine had only 2 carpet adjustments in the form of a foot pedal on top of the nozzle head. A much better machine than the BigFoot was.

Powr-Flite

Looks identical to this one, which rules out the possibility of it being something made by Oreck...

This is Oreck's newest commercial machine. It's called the Pro14T. I've sold a few of these for home use (as Oreck's first tools-on-board upright). We sell them for $549.99. You are correct, Travis, in the fact that it is not made by Oreck however. They are made in China and Oreck puts their name on them. I just love how the colors are identical to the ProLux upright.

Just wondering....

I have an Oreck 2600 I bought several years ago. I love it. It works great on area rugs and bare floors, but I was wondering if any of the moving parts ever need to be lubricated? It has been used every day for about the past three years. It still runs just fine, but I want to take good care of it. What sort of lubricant should I use? Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Have a great day! Tim

Glad to hear it! Sometimes, the motor bearings on the earlier 2600's have a tendency to be whiny because of the wide gap between the shaft and the housing. When we do tune-ups on these machines, we usually use some WD-40 or a product called ZOOM-SPOUT oiler which we get from DESCO. It's important the motor shaft stay clean because sometimes hair gets wrapped around behind the impeller. Hope this helps.
