Hey everyone I've watched a few YouTube videos that people put metal fans from classic to fit g4. I know bearing mod or bigger bearing etc. I was wondering if anyone could help me with details on doing so.
This is a weird question on metal fans if you you sprayed fan with rhino line type material stop from cracking. Not spray back but light spray blades.
Weird question but just curious.

Lesinutah,

Why would you want to put a metal fan in your G4? The new Amodel Polymer fans are actually stronger and less prone to cracking or breaking while providing the same airflow as a metal fan.

Hey

The metal fans have a sound unlike plastic. It's the whoosh sound I am going for. I'm aware new fans are space technology advanced in every way but you turn on a 510 with metal fan or a d80 with a metal fan you will hear. I just want vacuum to sound like a older vacuum.

@Hank don't try to put a royal fan in there it ends badly.

@sptyks is 100% right on that !
If you want more airflow invest in a NSS pig .

Just a hunch - get a tool & die shop to make a mold of the fan from the G4? Otherwise, the only way to get a vintage Kirby sound is with...a vintage Kirby.
