I went on eBay today and was looking at Kirby vacuum just for fun. I saw a 2017 avalir version with a cloth bag tool holder. I guess they changed it instead of the plastic thing they uses to use. This is something I thought was interesting.

I think that's a much better idea and stores away better in closets. I understand Kirby was sticking to tradition of the cardboard toolboxes with the plastic tool caddy, but man is that thing so cumbersome and hogging of space. I had to move it to my basement cold storage room and hung it up there where there was more room. And the shampooer device I just kept in it's shipping/product box for storage since they didn't make a spot to put it at in the tool caddy.

I guess they did change it to put it in a smaller space. Mine came with the regular plastics caddy. This might be a little change that is coming with the 2017 version now.

I got mine that has the 100th Anniversary sticker on the handle and it came with the regular tool caddy. I can see

where this would take up less space, but I don't think it would be convenient to get a tool out....Just another way

to cheapen production and keep the price up.......Out of all the G Series, I like my Sentria II and G5 the best.....

The only think I don't like about the tool caddies from the Heritage II series and up is the fact the tools some times fall off it. I have a Heritage II. I have the tool caddy mounted on the wall on the left side of the closet for easy access. Can't count the number of times I have had the hard surface nozzle fall of the tool holder. But oh well if that is the worst thing that can happen. I can live with it.

A bag for storage of the attachments is a great idea but would take up more room than I have to store it where I currently live.

I wish Kirby would go back to the "RooBag" that came with the Classic III and Tradition machines. The RooBag is a large bag with a coat hook on top. It has many different sized pockets for holding all your attachments and it hangs in the closet like a Garment holder.

In this photo I show my RooBag lying on the floor showing only one side of the bag, but if you flip it over there are many more pockets on the other side. If you look closely you can see the coat hanger hook at the top.

I like the plastic tool holder that they used with the G3 to the Avalir.

Love the RooBag!

I've never seen that before! I love that they gave it a novel name to play up how it works.

Does anyone know if the new Kirby tool bag can hold the hose, along with all the standard tools? If it could fit everything, and maintain a smaller footprint, it looks like a winner to me!

Roobag? Never in my life!!!!! That's a new one to me. I wonder why it wasn't in the instructions.

New to me as well

I worked for Kirby during the Classic III - Tradition run and never saw one in my area at that time. Wish they had made it more available.

Kirby's name

appears on the picture just below the Kangroo's butt, and R on Roo.

I think the cloth bag is a much more practical idea than a big plastic thing you hang on the wall . Customers also seem to have trouble putting accessories back in the proper order.
