Could someone give me the model number for this power nozzle? I think it needs a new motor and I can't find the model number on the unit. It's making a screeching noise, runs sluggish, and the lower wand actually gets warm when used. I suppose the best question might be is it even worth repairing? The canister that this was originally paired with has been long gone, but we've been using this with our central vac for years and worked well until the last month or so. Appreciate any information/guidance. Thanks

It could be one of two things. Most likely, the rear sleeve bearing in the motor is going out. That happens quite commonly as the motor isn't designed to last for a really long time. Good news is the motor is cheap. I think the wholesale cost is about $20.

The bearings in the brush roller could also be a problem, but is less likely. Even then, the brush roller isn't expensive enough to preclude getting a new one.

That's one of my favorite power nozzles. I used one paired with a TriStar for a long time because I liked the way it groomed and just seemed to work well overall.

Have you cracked it open to see if there is a model number on the motor?
