Currently there's a Model 3610 "Floor Conditioner" from Canada with yellow trim that looks exactly like my Model 3610 "Floor-A-Matic" from the USA.

I didn't realize that Hoover USA & Hoover Canada assigned the same model designations but different labels to the same cleaner, or am I missing something?

Here are some eBay photos of the two:

It could be that the word “floor-a-matic” was already being used by another manufacturer in Canada who had a copyright on the brand name, and so Hoover Canada in Hamilton, Ontario had to come up with another name that would avoid a law suit.
