I was wondering if anyone has an idea on where I can get parts for a Royal Model 154 Commercial upright? Also I would like some information reguarding the 154.

Spencer,

As I said before when you brought this up here previously... it would look just like the later 654, using the same 4.5 amp motor and single-row brush roll, but when it came from the factory, your cleaner would have had a plain polished belt cover plate and a Magnum Blue outer bag (shake out), meaning that the gray bag and the blue Adjust-O-Rite on yours are replacement parts.

BTW, what specific parts for your 154 are you looking for? Please try to explain this in detail.

~Ben

Spencer,

The correct replacement parts you would want are:
Hinged bag assembly, blue - 2-060640-A01
Carbon brush assembly - 3-672105-000 (order two)
Adjust-O-Rite plate, red - 2-080169-300 or 2-088169-300
Revolving brush assembly - 2-059721-000
Nozzle guard (what you call baseplate) - 1-285270-000

Good luck and happy New Year's!

~Ben

Spencer,

If you still have this machine today, may I ask you this: what do the markings on its power cord, if any, say?

If it is the thin cord, it will read "18/3 SVT" on it (part no. 1-031136-100), but if it is the thicker one, it will say "18/3 SJT" on it (part no. 1-060836-100).

BTW, the gray denim bag currently on this machine would match up with the January 1987 build date, but I think it originally was a shake-out type (part no. 2-061840-101) given this model was entry-level, not the one with the zipper (part no. 3-061842-101) for disposable bags.

Here is a model 655 from 1989 that has the shake-out bag; it looks very similar to your 3-154.
