I pulled this off a craigslist posting.
The guy restores old TVs and radios but is
too busy to tweak this one.

It would most likely be worth it for the EV speaker alone. Then yet it is I'm beautiful condition.

Amazing to think that

gottahaveahoove's profile picture
was HI-TECH at the time. People must have been so proud to have one of those. Truly a luxury at one time.

A set that was built at the time I was born! The "porthole" TV screen is interesting.

That is.....

The famous Zenith Cobramatic tone arm on that changer! Uses a unique Radionic cartridge to reduce serface noise on those old 78's.

Here is a ad for not the model posted, but a earlier Cobramatic set to just explain a little about it.

One of my first tv's was about a 53 Zenith combo set with a Cobra Matic record player and a AM radio. It was free and I was exstatic to get my own HUGE TV. It had a very dim blury picture and was hard to watch in daylight plus about a quarter of the picture was gone probably due to bad tubes. I and my sisters still loved it and watched many late night weekend horror flicks on it. It was a 23" rounded tube set probably about 5 years or so newer then that set. Back in the day it was easier to make a safe CRT round, then the manufacturing process and materials improved and they started making square tubes.
