eBay: Deluxe Automatic Aqua Model G

Hello All,
I have rebuilt and or restored to near new between 30 and 50 of the Electrolux G. The G is one machine I really fond of. I once disassembled 7 at once just for the fun of it and proceeded to buff, paint and repair all parts as needed for the sales floor. I would even use bondo on the small dents. I worked Saturday and week nights for Ben Condo who owned a shop on Brand Blvd. in Glendale CA for about 6 years or so.
The Lux G that Michael restored is great and please know how hard it is to find original parts for 50 plus year old machine. Now for that dreaded long power nozzle cord, it is terrible and I know because it came with my G I bought 30 years ago. I made up an extra hose so I could vacuum out the car without taking the cord off the hose. I am missing the crevice tool as I got it stuck under a car seat and broke it, I think I shed a tear but quickly got over it. The tape on the upper part on the power nozzle was there when I bought it and it is common problem with them to brake there.
For the experts out there I do not know if those plastic snap on cord retainers on the hose are correct or the one next to the extra cord winder but the snap on ones came with it and I lost one. That cord winder came out of a slightly newer G.
I replaced the cord winder cord on my poor Lux XXX so it is not original and that poor vac has been used as a shop vac and abused by me. I might have to do the same with that Silverado as the previous owner broke the cord covering at the plug.

Checkrate/Likes *It IS beautiful* But being the purist that I am, One thing is incorrect, the hose is for a later model, the front PN outlet model G is pre 1962, the hose that came with it new had a end like a AF, the hose was changed sometime after 62 to the style shown with the turquoise suction adjuster , the earlier one was grey just like the AF...But that is a VERY SMALL thing, the machine is STUNNING!I would love to have it in my collection, I have a bunch of Gs and all look like junk compared to this one.

Checkrate/Likes *Also,* The VERY FIRST G had one long power nozzle cord that ran the length of the hose and had plastic clips that snapped on the hose, the second one did have the disconnect at the wand, but still had the white snap on clips, the one shown came out sometime later, in my book, one of if not THE BEST tank machine ever built.

Checkrate/Likes Oh Hans, Hans, Hans, your missing something else that is not right on this model G, I am surprised you didn't pick it up, it is even more obvious than the hose. The hose by the way was purchased by Michael because the original one was leaking, I offered to swap curved ends but he like the feel of the later style hose end, to be honest I do also. Let's see if you can pick up the other thing that is not date correct on this machine :D Charlie

Checkrate/Likes Very good Charlie, When I restored the machine for Michael he didn't mention that he wanted to restore it to original condition, he told me he had the cord winder replaced at some point from Electrolux and it was a new reel with a cord on it, so I left it, now that he is selling it, I told him I should have replaced the winder with an original one from the same time period, he said that wasn't important to him, so I left it. The paint was mint, there was some dings in the body, so I took it to a automotive paintless dent guy, he did a great job, he did comment that it was tougher to work on than a car because of the heavier gauge steel body, but none the less, he did a fine job. Well, the machine sold again on eBay for $500 plus shipping, congratulations to who ever won the auction, you got a fine machine.
