I received sad news today that Glenn Dienst passed away this morning from Cancer. Glenn was a great asset to the vacuum collecting community and will be greatly missed.

Sorry to hear this. We communicated occasionally via email, mostly about Kirbys, but I never met him in person.

Very sad news. I think I've met him twice at conventions, very nice guy and knowledgeable. I've always missed him when he's been unable to attend the conventions and he will truly be missed. Phillip M. and I were just talking about him last weekend when he and Shaylee were here, but we hadn't heard anything lately.

He was such a nice man. I knew he's been very ill. Thanks, Chad, for calling me earlier today AND for letting everyone know. At least that awful suffering is now over. I've kept him in my prayers nightly.

I’ve met Glenn several times at the VCCC conventions. He was a very nice guy! At the convention in St. Louis or Chicago he gave me a Tradition outer bag. I remember at the Minneapolis convention him making a 1205 sing by placing his finger in the bag while the unit was running. It’s was funny! He will be greatly missed.

I will miss him. He came every October to visit me when passing through to see his family. I will very much miss his visit this year. He was a brilliant repair man when it came to vacuums and he was a big part of what made our conventions fun. He had so much character and personality.

Glenn was also a member of the Lambda Car Club International and Todd and I used to see him at many LCCI grand invitationals Not only was he a wealth of information on cars but vacuums too.

It was so nice to meet someone who shared two of the same interests. He had some interesting cars that he collected and could always help out members with mechanical problems with their cars. It was always a pleasure to see him at the VCCC conventions as well.

So long friend and Godspeed.

Charlie W.

It was a great privilege to get to know Glen. Every year he would send a special note when he registered for the convention or paid his membership. I remember meeting him at my first convention. He had a wealth of knowledge and was so willing to share it with all of the club members.

Prayers of peace for his family. Glad he is no longer in pain and has gone on to a place of peace and comfort.
