just dug it up from the basement, trying it out for the first time. tried to scrub natural stone tile flooring. motor works but base rattles like crazy. Does something need to be tightened or am I missing a nut or bolt? seems crazy loud and wobbly.
one like this, in all black. I have not used it in a while to answer your question. I do know that the squeegee leading edge can warp and tear if you store the machine with the upper and lower sections 90 degrees (normal operating position). Best to store these sections straight and lean the whole thing against something. The old and new squeegee blades were included when I got it. The solution foaming nozzle is easy to loose and new ones HARD to find. It half turns off and is located underneath behind and between the brushes.
I will venture to guess, the brush holders are worn and are not gripping the brushes tightly.
One thing I noticed is that you need o-rings on the end of the brush shaft (see photo). You can get them at a local DIY store. Also, it could be that the brushes are worn and I think I may need new ones as well. After doing a wet pickup and switch back over to scrubbing, I have to turn the machine on and off quickly to resume scrubbing so that the brushes can resettle themselves and not rattle. I hope this helps.
