Hey everyone
I have 2 classic omegas. One has a metal fan empellor the other has plastic white fan. I took both apart to switch empellors. The plastic came off no problem. The one with metal fan is being a pain. I have put he keys screwdriver bits in shaft hole. The fan I jammed with screwdriver on backside and on blade used vice grips to hold. The fan holds but every tool I put in the shaft snaps from over torqueing. The shaft has opening on only one side of shaft not all the way through. I want to save the fan but wtf like it's welded or shaft and fan are one piece of metal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

These pages from ChicagoMike's copy of the Kirby Classic III service manual will help you.
Just remember: the fan is spun on in reverse, so to get it off you have to turn it clockwise while you hold that fan locking tool in there. ~Ben |

Les,
Some aspects of rebuilding a Classic 1CR motor unit may be similar to rebuilding a Dual Sanitronic 50/80. I do not have either of these schematics yet, but I do have those for the 516/Sanitronic VII (single-speed motor). ~Ben |
