Hi everyone in Vacuumland!

I just wanted to share my recent purchase and learn more about it. This is the first vacuum I've ever purchased (at 41 years old! Hahaha.) I got it for $40 from a young couple who inherited from their mother. The husband did not like the way it smelled and thinks it was because the mother had dogs.

I took it apart and cleaned it thoroughly and put a new bag in it. It smells fine now. I haven't cleaned or tried out the accessory tools yet though. It came with a sidekick and brushes and carrying cases and extra bags.

Does anyone know the model year of this Aerus Lux Guardian upright? How much did this go for at the time? There is no filter in the machine. Is there supposed to be a filter in the black compartment thing? Thank you! I look forward to learning more about my first vacuum!

Yes Welcome!

Looks very clean and in good shape. I found this that may answer your question. It shows the history of Electrolux vacuums. I hope it is accurate and helpful. It will also give you fuel to collect.

Happy collecting and...keep vacuuming!
