Actually, I thought it was straight suction, mini power nozzle, two strip full size power nozzle, three strip power nozzle with dirt senser, and tandom air. Mike |

I just checked on both the Simplicity & Riccar websites, & there are only 4 models now - straight suction, turbo brush, two brush full size pn, & tandem air. There is no compact pn model listed, although if you look in the accessories it shows up separately. The tandem air premium model has yet to show up on either website.
If the compact pn model is being phased out, Tacony is being foolish & should reconsider. That model would be direct competition for the Miele C1 Titan & Delphi. Lots of people with hardwood floors & a couple area rugs would buy a canister vacuum like that if it was priced right. Hardwood with area rugs is the new trend & what most people are doing now. I highly doubt there will be 2 tandem air models. My guess is that once the premium tandem air model with the lifetime belt comes out, the current tandem air model will be discontinued. As for the 3 brush full size pn with dirt sensor being pointless now that the tandem air is available? I disagree with you on that. The pn that should have been axed is the 2 brush model. That brushroll is wimpy in comparison to the 3 brush pn, & there are plenty of people who would want the dirt sensor feature. In fact, it's one reason why I purchased my Simplicity Gusto. The other thing is, although the tandem air powerhead is nice, one HUGE disadvantage it has is the powerhead's height - it is too big to get under beds & other low furniture easily. Since that's a reason why consumers would buy a powerhead canister over a upright, many people would prefer the full size 3 brush pn model. As much as I like the tandem air technology, I do sincerely hope that Tacony redesigns the hood & reduces the height of the tandem air powerhead when they bring out the lifetime belt model. Rob |

The compact nozzle one doesn't show up under straight suction or full size power nozzzle if you click canisters you're shown the full line. I think Miele is discontinuing their compact nozzle. Their lineup has been changing often so I cannot be sure but I don't see any SEB-217s on any vacuum in their current lineup.
Now as for the deluxe and premium. It does take a little for the models to show up on the site. The premium was a pretty recent release. We received ours 2 weeks ago now. They've been on order for months, waiting for them to be released. I've seen full line up charts for the wonder and it shows both the deluxe and premium. The major difference is the belts. The deluxe has a stretch belt, and the premium has a lifetime belt. The premium also includes additional tools like the turbine brush, and the doom for your broom tool. there's a price difference of about $200 between the deluxe and premium. We haven't purchased any deluxes as we felt it was a poor idea to put a stretch belt on such an expensive vacuum. I suppose though if someone really doesn't want to pay the $200 extra we could always order it in for them....

Hope you're close to your warranty center. God knows you're going to need it with the first run of the Tacony product. Hopefully you have better luck with this product than I have had.

n0oxy do you work for Tacony? They definitely make an honest effort. By the end of the day the quality seems to be on par with TTI. That would be all good and fine if they weren't asking five or six hundred dollars but at $900 to $1,200 street price you can get products that are much better and you don't have to take my word for it. Look at their consumer canister ratings. We know the pig tails and necks are bound to fail on existing Tacony powerheads. They have had hose issues and circuit board issues on the 1800 and 1700 series canisters. The bagcheck light didn't work for the first year of production on Stine.1 canisters. Just the name some of the common things I can think of off the top of my head.
In conclusion Tacony products are of fair quality after they've had time to work out the bugs. But their retail price to me, put them closer to the bottom the list of products I would buy or recommend. All of these things are non issues for manufacturers like Lindhouse ,SEBO,and Miele who are all in the same price range both wholesale and Retail |

Only get a normal hose instead of that awkward pistol grip monstrosity, every thing else is great. |

I actually thought it was a gas pump grip, most power nozzle canisters have this type of handle, the only one I know of that doesn't is the hose for the Aerus classic models. Mike |

I as a rule ,use nothing newer than 35 years old, most of my vacuums are 40 to 50 plus years old, whatever you call that style handle its clunky. |
