Hi!
I was highly inspired by Blackheart and his buy of a Sebo D4. The D4 is however a bit to much for my flat so a small-size vacuum as the K3 is what I went for. The yellow thingy is the HEPA which is located before the motor (pic 23-24 or so). The last pic is my SEbo family picture (quote "madabouthoovers" in a post of the Sebo Volcano).
The vacuum has 1200W. It did not come in a glossy box as I bought it from Amazon (or I think that's the reason). Now I am going to test it .
The rest of the pic are in my reply to myself. |

I'm curious since you have an E1. Why choose the K3? I'm glad i could act as inspiration though :P.
I've had little experience with the K3 but it seemed, like all sebo products, solidly made. The airflow wasn't bad either about 5.5/10 on the baird meter. One thing i didn't like was the upholstery tool. It's such a bizzare setup, having to connect it to the end of the crevice tool. Enjoy your new machine! |

The K-series has the motor "backwards" which will create more turbulence for the air when going throu the vacuum, hence should have less airflow than my E1 (both 1200 watt, but more filters for my K3). With the E-series they have improved and put the motor so the air has a straighter path, also the bag is half a litre bigger than for the K3. The D4 seems to have a lot of turbulence, but that may be even out by the big bag it has. So given only airflow the E or D would be my choice. One from the E-series I already have and I was keen on something new. At some point I will buy the D4 as well.
They have premium quality both of them of course, but I think (personal opinion) that the K3 is sturdier and more robust than the E1 I have.
I also really like the bags for the K-series as they do not let dust escape as I have experianced with the E-series bags. The K-series is also the only Sebo vacuum that can be fitted with a true HEPA (The C-series used to have one as well). The green filter at the top filter compartment is not really a HEPA filter, but probably comparable to a HEPA-10 EU standard. The yellow filter is a true HEPA-filter, but I do not know the grade for it. To end this wall of text. Filtration, interest in Sebo vacuums and a wish for a small canister with a powerbrush is the reason why I bought it. Sorry for any grammatic and spelling errors, I need to go to bed and I cannot check them.
