We've been enjoying a great abundance of big, sweet, juicy peaches out here this year. They've regularly been on sale at the grocery store. So "what to do" but bake a peach pie!

I considered making a lattice-top crust, but that's really a lot of work and prone to getting screwed up. ("Been dere, done dat.") So I just cut out strips of dough and criss-crossed them. Same basic effect with a lot less fuss.

Love peach pie, cobbler, ect. Our town used to be called the peach bowl of the world, had many to pick from then. Festivals and farmers markets, no more
