So I just found one of these in the garbage this morning. It even has the original box as well as all of the original documentation it came with. It seems to work OK I'll be at the suction seems to be a little bit on the low side. According to the provided documentation it looks like it was made around 1999 or maybe 2000. Even more of a surprise to me is the fact that this is apparently made in USA, I'm not sure but I don't think the new ones are anymore. But all in all it is in very good condition and has most of the attachments, the dust brush is a little worse for wear but I do have a few in the garage that would work. Enjoy the pictures I have uploaded!

Wonder why someone would throw away a nice SV vacuum as this????The motor is only 7A so don't expect the power of a machine that has say a 10A motor.Have a few of these machines at the transmitter site-the housekeeping staff likes them. When one of these fails out here-the motor is long shot and the body of the machine is beat up.The one shown looks like it was just unpacked! It goes to show--one mans garbage is anothers treasure!!You got the Treasure!Enjoy in good health!

I think Shop Vac still makes their machines in the US.

I always thought those were really neat little machines. I was always fascinated with a Shop Vac that could be used indoors with attachments. How is the sound factor? I always found them too loud, though this one seems to have the quieter motor cap on it.

Or at least "Assembled in the U.S.A."

It's definitely quiet. A lot quieter than any other shop vac I've had. Kinda nice actually.

The package of 15-20Gal Shop Vac paper bags I bought at Lowes the package says "Made in Vietnam".The vacuums are made here-but parts such as bags are not.Didn't see on the HEPA filter where it was made.
