Can anybody here please tell me more about the Metropolitan Vacuum Cleaner Company? 


This vacuum was given to us by my paternal grandparents.

Their claim to fame was the first portable vacuum designed specifically to clean your car - I think the first one that got its power from the lighter socket. They are one of the few US-owned vacuum manufacturers left. Bed Bath and Beyond sells their full-size canister vacuum...see link below:
