I had a service day today. I had 7 of these little guys and I was able to make 4 perfect ones. They are fun.
I'd like to know if there were any other colors?

They are a lot of fun. Oreck discontinued the bags for those not long ago. It's hard to find one where a clip isn't broken on the back tube. Those Oreck 4000's were made for Oreck by McDonald Electric. There is a TV commercial on YouTube showing a yellow McDonald electric, not sure if the Oreck version ever came in yellow though. Do you have any Whirlpool CVR-2000/3000 versions? That was the Oreck's predecessor.

There was a "McDonald Electric" one in the UK that was yellowish orange color. |

I have some of the bags for these however I want to preserve them for display so I took the regular Oreck bags and cut the cardboard collar to fit these 4000s.
My orange one does have a broken clip but that's ok. I do have a whirlpool cvr (I forget if it's 1,000, 2,000, or 3,000) It's black. Stay tuned for a service project post of the cvr Whirlpool eventually The blue one with plaid bag has a new old stock brush roll in it. What belts do you use? I actually found that the Bissell steam cleaner pump belt worked pretty well. |
