Hi Kevin
Check out the attached brochure of the Electrolux canisters which provides their dates of distribution. Missing though are the Legacy and Grand Marquis which are pretty much identical in color to my Ultralux. Dates of Distribution ( 1988-1992) Let me know if this helps .

Kevin,
It's possible your ex either had a re-manufactured unit or one of those Perfect C-101 canisters. The Perfect canisters are not made by Electrolux and are thus not part of the above chronology. They essentially reproductions of the later Electrolux metal canisters, minus the bag eject mechanism. The design is apparently based on expired patents and the bag eject mechanism's patent is apparently still current. The machines have an excellent reputation and have received extensive coverage in this forum. |

if we're just going by the chart, you're saying the Ultralux is the last metal body Lux?
And was that a two-stage motor or some Lamb iteration?
