Help me refresh my memory!

What's the right belt to use on them? In the Tip Top Parts catalog, the OEM knurled belt is O.K. What belt for the polisher?

The Sanitronic is a single speed 4 amp machine. The D50 is rated at 5 amps for high. 4 amps for carpet speed?

Thanks!
Greg

Only use the knurled belt if you have a ball bearing brushroll. If not, use a soft belt. Soft belt for the polisher too.

Greg,

Clayton is right... Kirby currently recommends you use the 159056 belt for the standard brush roll (if it does not have ball bearings but rather those transparent plastic sleeves on both ends), and the 301289 belt for both the power polisher and Rug Renovator.

So is this brush roll a BB roll?

Greg,

That you have is the ball bearing brush roll, so you're OK using the 301291 belt. However... even when using that brush roll, that belt would not be so kind to the belt lifters used on Kirby models 519 and older.
