I have scoured the interwebs and this is what I have found performance wise for current model Royals. It has been suggested here on VL that a Royal 8300 from a few years ago has 144 CFM at the nozzle. I have not been able to verify that and am wondering if that spec was a typo. Anyway, here's what I have so far:
From the Clean-O-Rama website www.clean-o-rama.com/cata... Royal 1030, 10-Amp = 134 CFM Royal 1058, 8-Amp = 117 CFM So the top-o-the-line model 1030 Royal uses 10 Amps to produce 134 CFM. Which means it would have an efficiency rating of 134/10=13.4 CFM per Amp. In contrast, the Sentria II/Avalir would have an efficiency rating of 137/7=19.6 CFM per Amp. The Kirby would then be 19.6/13.4 => 46.3% more efficient. Very, very interesting I think. Yes, I still want a Royal because they are very cool looking and I hear they are easy to push. Bill |
