It finally stopped raining here in Oregon, so I thought I would photograph all of my Royals and post them, newest to oldest;

model 8400 (2005), model 2028 (2002), model 2000(1998), and model 9700 (1994).

Mike,

I see your 618 now has a gray shake-out bag from a 1987-2002 commercial Royal! Whatever happened to that NOS blue bag that was previously on it?

A new upper handle assembly for your 662 was part number 2-062032-B00, but current replacement will be 2-891051-600 (black handle grip and quick-release cord swivel).

And that '83 608 looks ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS for its age!

~Ben

Dave,

I also only have two Royal metal uprights, and they are a model 880 (from 1985, sold by Stark's Vacuum) and the 786 Prince.

Ben,
I still have the blue bag. It is hanging on the wall behind my Royal, along with 2 other like new bags.

Nice Royal Collection Mike!

Royals and other Royal-built machines (especially Electro-Hygiene!) are my favorites. Powerful, maneuverable, durable, just a great all round cleaner!

Thank you Jeff! You may have noticed that I borrowed your idea of using the garage door as a background for my Royals.

Mike,

My grandparents, who live on the same block, were concerned that you may have vacated your house recently, correct? The clue: YARD SALE.

One other thing I want to ask: would you happen to have a spare Kirby Generation 3 power cord (192092) for sale? The one on my 1991 G3 is ruined.

Thank you,

Ben

Ben, I still live in the same house, we did not move. We just had a yard sale 2 years ago. We probably will have another one in July. I don't have a G3 cord, but I will watch for one at the Goodwill outlet store.
