I picked these up for about $6 each. Neither of these machines are far off or gone. Definitely a steal for the price. The black G6 is always a welcome addition. I love these, and think it is probably the most attractive of the Generation series. The Ultimate G is also a good looking machine, being the stark opposite color-wise.

Easy machines to rip down to the bare bones, clean, polish, provide new parts, and call like new again.
Both got new belts and bags, obviously. Both also received all of the plastic and rubber parts soaked, and bags hand washed and are as good as new.

The G6 needed a new brush roll, so that was replaced. The one in the Ultimate was like new. Just set the brush to position '2' after cleaning it, and it works just fine.

Great machines for the price!

This one is still being dried and assembled. I'll post a final picture when it is complete.

Side note: The G6 came with all of it's tools, VHS tape, and the like. Not too shabby!

Great finds and deals. Fun play for you too. Imagine they would keep a families home going for many years for very cheap money!! They rule the carpet.

Absolutely!

That's where these will ultimately go, friends or families who need a machine. I've spent less than $10 fixing each machine, so onward it'll go!

Feel the same here, always have a spare for a friend in need. I have the Diamond, needs buffing again after seeing yours, but damn that black one is pretty too!

Restoring Kirby G Series machines is one of my favorite past-times. You got those machines looking great. I still really need to find an Ultimate G standard though. I've had three Diamonds, but never standard. Did you hand polish those? Here's my 80th Anniversary G4 that I did last week.

Thank you! Yes, these are hand polished. It routinely takes me about an hour, but I am usually very happy with the results I get. It's funny you've not been able to find an Ultimate, proper. I have had four go through here in the last six months, and only one Diamond in three years. The next one I find will be mine as that is probably the favorite of the Generation series.
