Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had info on the filters that fit a model LX. When I inherited mine years ago I remember it having a filter and an extra, both of which have now been used and are long gone. Now that the LX has become my primary vacuum I'd like to get a new one if possible, but can't find any info on them. Thanks!

Just use some Cut-down-to-size filter media. I've been doing that for years with no issues.

Ever since multi-ply disposable bags were introduced by Electrolux sometime between 1953 and '54 they recommended no longer using "after filters." These impede air flow and can cause overheating of the motor with extended use.

HEPA Bags are available now!

Just go to eVacuumstore.com and pick up a few of their synthetic bags for the old Luxes. I bought some and my G and LX run like new. Plus they reduce allergies and eliminate the need for an exhaust filter.
