Hello. While I was looking on a vacuum parts website, I realized something. Why not just buy all the parts and put it together? Crazy idea, but being very careful and buying all the right parts, could it work?

In the vast majority (if not all) cases you'd end up spending more for all the parts than you would for just the unit.

There is the old saying

The sum is worth more than the whole. To buy all the parts, providing you could get them, separately would be exponentially more.
