The AP280 is the first new vacuum that I ever purchased ...that was back in 1981 when I was living in Toronto. It looked exactly like the one you have Pete. I remember going to the Lux dealer, buying the vacuum and taking it home in the unopened box. I paid $425 for it. It was a 2 speed model with the automatic control, red bad full light and a green power light to indicate the vacuum was plugged in. When I bought my Lux 6500 in 1999 I gave the 280 to the dealer in exchange. I should have kept it. Gary |

It looks like the AP280 was the Canadian version of the Olympia One. Did they share the same motors and suction? It looks like they kept the PN2 version of the power nozzle, when did the Canadian Luxes go to the PN4, or did they? |
