I grabbed these beauties up yesterday. The Elites bag was so full it had burst, also has a broken retainer under the hood on the fan side. The Oreck smells of cat pee so it's getting a good spa. Someone wrote 'donated to MDA' on its hood. Any tips on removing permanent marker? Other than their flaws, they run great!

To remove permanent marker, try some Zippo lighter fluid on a paper towel. Just keep it away from open flames ;)

Remember Jimi Hendrix's Stratocaster at Monterey!

Nice finds!

Apparently when the bag gets full it is time for a new one! :o/
Rubbing alcohol removes permanent marker easily.

Use rubbing alcohol with the abrasive side of a kitchen sponge. Rub in small circles. Then follow up with Windex and a Rag on the whole hood.

Magic erasure and Krud cutter degreaser available at any hardware store should take it off with out any damage to the hood.
