I've been feeling blue and in a funk because this winter has been so long...not good because when I feel like this I like to spend money which resulted in me purchasing the Dyson Big Ball multi floor vacuum from the Home Shopping Channel. The price was reduced $200 and it included 3 additional tools - tangle free tool, groom tool and the stiff bristle brush. I have a Dyson hand held rechargeable but have always wanted to try a full size canister. The vacuum is a lot quieter than I thought it would be, even quieter than the hand held. It has a lot of suction. The articulating floor tool works well and is great for getting into very narrow spaces. The turbine rug tool works great on the berber carpet and low pile carpet but does not really groom very well on my plush carpet. It cleaned it well but didn't leave any tracks which I like to see. The tangle free tool works well also. I used it to vacuum the cat beds which have a lot of fur. When I was done, there was no fur tangled in the tool. The hose is a little on the short side as is the cord. I like that the hose can be detached from the hose handle and used with all the tools. I want to try the groom tool on my cats once they get used to it. I haven't emptied the bin yet but I did try the mechanism before I started vacuuming and it seems to work OK.

Hi Gary that looks awesome

I got my one on Friday, Here it is with my older dc52 Cinetic.
Its much more compact. I love the sroud cleaner and it makes emptying the bin much easier.

Its super powerful, I do wish their was a option of a longer hose. I really like the new quick change attachments

My one came with a heap of attachments will post pics later

I've had it a couple of weeks now. It is fun to use and as you say it is very powerful. I like the small footprint of the turbine nozzle - makes it easier to get around table legs and in tight spaces however I find it really does not groom the carpet very well as I have a very plush, dense carpet. The mini turbo brush does work well. I wish the cord was a little longer. It is surprisingly quiet. For quick pick ups it works great but when I need a deep cleaning of the carpet I will have to get out the Kirby or Hoover or Aerus.
