Hey everyone. So, what factors go into how often you shampoo? What shampooer do you use? I use a Kirby Rug Renovator for a Heritage model. It does pretty good.

I shampoo my carpets with my Sentria Shampoo system. It does an excellent job.

I shampoo my carpets whenever they look like they need it, usually every 3 - 4 months.

I usually shampoo once every two or so months. We have 4 children under 5, and our lot is a dirt lot, so we have a lot of cleaning to do frequently. Actually, we vacuum at least once per day. You can imagine how quickly we go through bags. Lol. We run a Kirby Heritage. As far as the shampooer goes, I have had very good results in our carpet, as opposed to the Hoover we previously had. The Hoover was on its way out when we got it though, so it isn't a very fair comparison.
