Hey there, so I saw a thread on oceanblue vacuum and realized people were concerned it was a scam. Well, they are right. Long story short I took a job in sales not knowing what I was selling til orientation. I decided to give it a try. All in all it's a ponzu scheme and then the guy took everyone's money and took off! These 2,500$ vacuums cost only 3-500$ to make and customer service will not help. In fact they disconnected the phones at one point and we gave up. I sold one...to my family. Now I will say it is a great product but it is a lot of work the water will need to be dumped every 30mins or so til you finish. Then you must clean entire basin, the screw underneath and the hoses and other attachments. We only use it every 6months for spring cleaning and do 1-2 rooms a day. Keep in mind you still need to use wood cleaner, whatever your choice of window cleaner and whatever else you use to make sure dust doesn't stick and your home is truly clean. I personally after owning one for 3years love the concept and The cleanliness but think you'd do better with either a Dyson V8 cordless or Dyson V6 animal vacuum they are far better and less work. As for the good smell, light some candles.
Truth be told I don't want to see someone else getting taken advantage of! Let me know if you have questions!!!!

This? How can they even get away with using the word Rainbow in their ads?

a LONG time ago!

This is like an older style rainbow.

That ebay seller is just someone who sells vacuums and he/she takes trade-ins, they then sell those trade-in's on Ebay - I doubt they are an OceanBlue Dist; they are just selling what someone traded in for whatever it was they were selling. They then add extras like a Rainbowmate and use keywords so that people looking for a Rainbow will find their listing.

Ocean Blue vacuums, to my knowledge, are not for sale any longer. If you find a new in box model, it was a machine some distributor didn't sell.

I bought my very nice Ocean Blue from eBay, from a seller who sent the receipt. He paid $2,300 for it in 2007, I was the only bidder and got it for $100 including shipping. Ordered a new Wessle-Werks brush roller for the power nozzle, and it's like new.

Since there are NO repair parts to my knowledge, I keep it as a collector's item. It has only 60 inches of water lift (like an old rexair) and has no hepa filter, so it's not "all that and a bag of chips".

I keep it, along with my Pro Aqua, Delphin, Big Power, Oasis, and Hyla - all in their boxes - in the store room. We do bring them out every year at the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Convention and run them so everyone can experience them once.

The Delphin

Seems to me to be a much higher quality unit.
